Beef hunter style used to be one of my childhood’s favorite dishes and it did stay so, because my dad used to make it always very tasty. I wanted to show you with the platting that from this dish you can make out a real festive dish. My hunter style beef is different from others in that I serve also caramelized vegetables (the same as there are in the sauce) with it.
This is not a low calorie snack but its advantage is that it can keep another day without getting dry. I recommend it for Easter for finger food for your family and guests. But of course we can prepare it any time we like. To make the dough is quite simple, and while you are baking it, you will have an inviting smell in your kitchen.
In my opinion zserbó is most elegant Hungarian tea-time cake. I make it with a lot of walnut and home-made apricot marmalade. I hardly use sugar, and if I do, it is always xylitol. Zserbó is a traditional Christmas cake which would be able to last until the New Year if we did not eat it… I have just made it, so by Christmas the tastes come well together.
A pretty gingerbread house can even decorate our home during the advent period. We can prepare this dessert together with the family on a weekend day before Christmas. Have a pleasant time with this.
An intensive chocolate delight. I can recommend it to cake making beginners too. It is quite easy to work with the cream soon after it is ready. Red currant gives lightness to the intensity of the chocolate.
Due to the summer holiday season and to coincidence, this time when I made this wonderful sweet bread I had a tiny help too. The 6-year old neighbor kid was just over by us when I was just kneading the dough. She could smell the scent of the rising bread when I started to stretch out the dough. She came over to me and proposed her help in anything I need. I was more than happy to say yes to her. So we were filling the sweet bread together with my little help on a summer morning. She could hardly wait for the sweet bread to bake ready by that time all the kitchen smelled through gorgeous sweet bread smell. The girl took home so proudly the 10 pieces she filled herself. It was an experience to bake together with her.
Summer rainy days make me bake with yeast. I love the smell of the dough baking in the oven. So these days I have to bake. I had in my green garden fresh dill and in my fridge I had fat cottage cheese. So on such an afternoon, I took the opportunity and baked a yeast sweet bread with dill & cottage cheese for my little family I was expecting that afternoon. It is excellent with tea, coffee or any other refreshment. It is a filling tea-time food. Also good for breakfast.
Lemon curd gives an incomparable silkiness and taste experience. It is excellent with custard/pie and can be well combined with any type of fruits or it is also excellent with glass desserts. It is refreshing. It is often served with whipped egg white baked on top (meringue). This time I was using sugar-free coconut whip.
You will never forget this combination of tastes! It is heavenly!
