- To poach an egg proper you need a fresh and room-temperature egg. We boil water for the poaching with some salt and vinegar. When the water has come to the boil we reduce to simmering and turn the water around with spoon to make a kind of whirlpool. We add the opened egg from a cup to the water and let it cook for about 4-5 minutes.
- We drain it, put pepper on it and cut it in the middle so that the egg yellow flows out. We dunk it out with the potatoes.
