I love the fresh and sour taste of spinach. It is refreshing indeed. Therefore if it has its season, I like to put in my diet. Today, I am going to prepare it with some small cut or smashed garlic and nutmeg. It needs to be a little bit sautéed. I serve small boiled new potatoes and poached egg to it.


For:  4 people


  1. To poach an egg proper you need a fresh and room-temperature egg. We boil water for the poaching with some salt and vinegar. When the water has come to the boil we reduce to simmering and turn the water around with spoon to make a kind of whirlpool. We add the opened egg from a cup to the water and let it cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  2. We drain it, put pepper on it and cut it in the middle so that the egg yellow flows out. We dunk it out with the potatoes.
