In winter we cannot get bored of soups. I would like to recommend you now a soup that does not only keep you warm but it is also healthy. You can also make it without sausage, I like to cook it in in a lot of soups in winter for its taste.


For:  6 people


  1. We suck the beans in water for 4-5 hrs before cooking. We bake out the fat from the bacon. Then we put the onion on. We stir it. We can add the carrots, the celery sticks, the parsnip and the rest of the vegetables. We can add the sausages too. Finally we also put in the beans. We season it, then we pour water on and add the green leaves. We cook it approximately for 3 hrs until the beans are soft.
  2. We season it at the end if needed. I serve it with fresh parsley.
  3. It is so tasty! It is almost like a vegetable sauce (főzelék – typical Hungarian vegetable sauce! I cook a real thick soup so we eat it as a main dish. We can also add sour cream when serving.
