- 8 pc white paprika
- 2 pc kapia paprika
- 1 green strong paprika
- 1 stick of home-made sasusage Hungarian style
- 1 white vegetable marrow
- 1 big purple onion
- 1 big onion
- 6 pc tomatoes
- 50 g bacon
- 1 T ghee or 2 T grape seed oil
- red paprika, salt, pepper
- We cut up the ingredients into small cubes or slices like we want. We fry the bacon (lard) and then we take them out. We put a bit more oil if needed. We can fry the onions in the fat, then we can add the sliced sausages. We fry it together. We can add the rest of the ingredients and we can cover it with a lid. We season it according to our taste. It takes about an hour to get a real soft lecso.
Eggs or rice go with it. You can mix the eggs in with the lecso, which is a traditional way.
This time I made with scrambled eggs and rice too.
